Revelation 12 sign

The Rapture is not imminent!

The Rapture is not imminent!

No one knows the day or the hour

John 14:1-3

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

This statement by Jesus is directly connected to the feast of trumpets, and a Jewish wedding in Jesus’ day. The disciples knew what Jesus was referring to when he said this. A Jewish wedding in Jesus day, the parable of the ten virgins, and Rosh Hashanah are all connected and reveals that the Rapture is not imminent. God makes all of his major biblical events happen at his appointed times.

The Lord comes as a thief in the night

This is usually the statement that goes along with no one knows the day or hour.

The dead and the sleeping church:

Revelation 3:1-3 NKJV   “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.  Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.  Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

I Thessalonians 5:2-4 KJV     For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

If you as a christian are actively looking Jesus to return, he will not come to you as a thief. Jesus will come as a thief to the dead and sleeping church. When christians continue to believe that the rapture can happen at any time, do not understand what 1 Thessalonians 5: 2-4 points out. When we know that Jesus fulfilled the spring feast at the appointed time (Passover on the 14th of Nisan); the next appointed time is the feast of trumpets, and therefore we are not walking in darkness like the rest of the world. The statement that the lords comes as a thief in the night applies to everyone using that statement to avoid end any discussion about when the rapture will happen. The scriptures tell us that blessed is he that is found doing. Doing what? the answers is “Watching”!!!
